Please note, that for the best effect, the hall where the performance takes place needs to have some black-out or method of reducing the overall level of lighting. (Total black-out is not neccessary or desirable.) Access to the venue will be required at least an hour before the performance starts, and a level (wheelchair) access to the hall is desirable. The theatre arrives on its own mobile trolley, but it is bulky, and steps are difficult to negotiate. Otherwise, assistance will be required to help lift the theatre into the hall. An ordinary electric socket is all that is required, and a small table. All extension cables, cameras, projectors and screens and any other equipment required is provided. A small charge for the programmes is made, to cover the cost of printing.

Treat your Club or Society to a performance of one of the Gilbert and Sullivan Operas in true Victorian Style. Each performance lasts about three quarters of an hour, with a short interval of a couple of minutes. All the main tunes of the opera are included, and the performances are accompanied by historic D'Oyly Carte recordings with original soloists and full orchestra. See the video extracts below, to get a flavour of the style of performance. I bring printed programmes for the audience, which contain an outline of the story of the plot, a list of characters and scenes, and also an illustrated brief history of the Toy Theatre. They can be kept afterwards as a momento of the performance. The live show is also projected onto a large screen, so that those at the back of the audience are still able to see the exquisite detail of the characters and scenery. The characters and scenes are created from reproductions of original Toy Theatre Sheets, published in the first part of the Victorian age, so the whole experience is an  authentic replica of what a Toy Theatre, (or Juvenile Drama as it was often known) production would have been like in an early Victorian home.
